Dr. Riggs completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry while attending The University of Nebraska at Kearney. His optometric degree was fulfilled while at The Indiana University School of Optometry. He went on to specialize in ocular disease by completing a residency in ocular pathology and surgical co-management at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Maryland. Dr. Riggs enjoys taking time to explain to the patient what is happening with their vision and eye care needs.
Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Riggs decided to move back from Maryland to practice in the Midwest, and has made Denver his home which allows him to enjoy all that Colorado has to offer! In his spare time Dr. Riggs enjoys heading up to the mountains for a good hike, taking photographs, or just going to the neighborhood park to exercise his dog. He enjoys most all types of sporting events and you may even see him at a poker table.
Dr. Riggs is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society, Colorado Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. He has given educational seminars on eye care in the past and is looking forward to continuing this in Colorado.
